The Money TRIP…
What is really going on in the world?
Just to survive you need money. Everyone needs money to provide basics. Even a homeless person requires cash. Cash to eat, clean up, wear clothes, survive and even sleep. (someone has to be awake and on guard duty)
Everything has a minimum cost. Even if a kind soul was giving away food, you have to be able to travel to get it, you have to smell nice enough to get inside and you need someone else to guard your stuff while you are away.
Society runs on a payment system. Everyone wants to get paid. Even the food bank gets paid in donations, without them it would shutter the doors.
But money is kind of running in a vicious circle it never stops moving from hand to hand.
Think about it…
Why does the nightly local news deliver the weather report in tiny tidbits teasing you with what you really want to know. The old ‘coming up shortly’ trick. They drip the weather on you but keep the thing you want to know for very last.
It’s all about money.
The longer you watch, the more eyeballs they get to hang on another half hour, the more money they make in ad revenue.
If they really wanted to help people they could give you the whole story in one go. They know exactly what anyone watching the weather wants to know. WHAT IS THE WEATHER DOING TOMORROW? And they don’t tell you that until the very last segment. Very tricky. That is a 2 minute answer but they drag it out for 30 minutes or an hour every single night.
Now I could go on and on about money. Money tricks. Money methods. Save money. Make money. Give money.
Money is involved in everything.
You can’t walk barefoot on a hike in a state park without paying for parking/entry. You can’t go for a walk down the road without a variety of costs.
I mean:
You need to buy clothes, shoes, water, food and more. Someone has to watch the children. You have to pay for your Fitbit, cell phone, water bottle and a place to live. You need transportation and utilities.
Here’s a way to look at money that might make you angry…
Take one dollar, any dollar and think about how many people touch that dollar.
You get your paycheck. It’s in your hand. You pay taxes on that money. You put that money in the bank. The bank has fees, hidden and revealed. The bank borrows on that dollar you gave them to hold.
Now they lend out that money to someone else who spends it on something. Now we have sales tax on what they buy.
The place where they purchased now has some of that money. Business taxes. The business pays its payroll and hands out paychecks. Those people pay taxes on that income. The business buys inventory to restock. The supplier now does the same thing.
Buys more stock and pays it’s employees. More taxes and fees paid by all.
That one dollar is continuously being taxed over and over as it travels. Thousands of times the same dollar is taxed. Every time a dollar moves, more taxes. Somebody is paying taxes. The winner is the government. They always win because they write the laws.
Talk about a no lose deal. Create more rules to make more taxes. Viscous circle.
Your employer pays taxes. You pay taxes. Spend money, pay taxes. That business pays taxes. Put the money in the bank, the bank pays taxes. Employers pay payroll, taxes. Employees get paid, taxes.
It’s quite a racket. The money and taxes circle.
Society revolves around the money.
Now to run a country and keep it going taxes are a necessity. It costs money to run and keep things running smoothly. Some taxes are required but you can take that too far the longer things go on.
I for one don’t think the government (any government) is entitled to take 40% of your hard earned dollars in taxes. That’s reached obscene levels. They didn’t earn it. 10, 20 percent cool but 40%?!
The criminals on the streets never took 40% of a persons income every year, right?
But governments reach into your pocket every day, every week and every year of your life. A little tax here, another little fee here. It adds up to a fortune for someone and it’s not you.
People try not to think about it but it is there. It’s reality. Out of your personal control so don’t get discouraged. I point it out because it’s something to think about the next time you buy anything.
Here are just a few examples:
Income tax 20–33%
FICA tax 8%
Sales tax 10%
Gas tax
Cable TV tax
Hotel room tax
License fees
Permit fees
Phone tax
Mandatory Utilities
Property tax
Business taxes
Bottom line, everyone wants your money. So they can pay their taxes and try to get ahead of the game. And you want someone’s money so you can do the same.
It’s a requirement, a need, a necessity and a big want. Everyone wants more just to keep close to inflation. (Ahhh, inflation, don’t get me started)
Now don’t go crazy and stop paying your taxes. We have to work within the system or go to jail.
Reduce your spending and lower your taxes is always an option. We don’t need all that junk anyway, it just sits in the garage.
Next…
Just do what you can to earn more, save more and invest more. Put compound interest to work for yourself. The sooner the better, time earning interest is the winning hand. Let your investments soak for 30 years and it will work harder than you have to.
So, how can you earn more in today’s world?
Lots of ways luckily…
Side hustles, gig jobs, 2nd jobs or start your own kitchen table business. All good options that you can do in your spare time. Turn off the TV and you’ll discover plenty of spare time.
It’s never been easier or as affordable to start your own small business. Now that everything has moved online, you don’t need thousands of dollars to rent a store, buy and stock inventory or hire a bunch of employees.
You can reach the entire world for free with social media and YouTube. You can talk to a person on the other side of the planet in seconds for free with Zoom.
A $20/month website is plenty and opens up an opportunity that people fifty years ago would have been thrilled to have. It’s unimaginable. A dream come true.
What keeps people from actually doing it. From getting started; is the overwhelm. You need a plan. Not just any plan but a proven plan. A plan that other people just like you have used and profited from.
It’s easy to see the winners on clickfunnels.com but you also know most people aren’t winners. Most people can’t afford, even if they had a brilliant product, to spend $10k a month on Facebook ads when starting. Some of those winners spend $100k a month on Facebook ads. To make millions. Not all of us have that kind of investment available.
I’d like to share with you a simple to do, spare time business plan. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to start and run an online business part-time.
Do you have 2 hours a day to work on your business? Could you squeeze that time out?
If you can, then this is a plan for you. Step by step one step at a time. Follow this plan and you have a great chance to see evergreen passive income in a very short time.
It’ll put you on the road. There is work and time involved. Money won’t flood your bank account in a matter of weeks. It’s a business anyone with a computer and some drive can turn profitable.
We keep expenses low. We don’t rush it. We keep pedaling the bike forward. There will be ups and downs. Not a sprint, a marathon you can work on as you have time.
